The Summer Enthusiast Part 2

Summer has its ups and downs. So here are my ups.

SURFING.

The hot weather is something we Malaysians cannot avoid. I've been growing up under the care and shining UV rays of the sun all my life. At some points, when it's hot like today, I would miss Bandung's chilly weather (my friends have compared the weather to Cameron Highlands). At this point, I would like nothing else but to go swimming at a pool or snuggle up relaxed and cool in an air-conditioned room upstairs.

Unfortunately, I don't feel like staying indoors now. I feel like going outside and heading to the beach like Santa Monica in California or-- since I'm feeling adventurous-- surfing!

SHORTS AND TANKS.

What am I saying, talking about activities? What I like about summer is that I get to wear shorts! I'm ditching my jeans for my summer shorts (denim shorts. Ha ha!). I'm taking out my tank tops and striped shirts and put on my sneakers because I'm still not a slipper person.

I really like the strawberry patterned sneakers from Vans but... yeah, I'm on a tight budget here.

I'd love to put on my sunglasses and sweat my body out in the heat. It would also be awesome if we have some nice green field (not like the one that I have where the grass are dead and you could see soil. I like the grass that Q and I sat on when we went to the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.

I'd love to go to the nearest ice cream parlor and grab a frozen yoghurt (but I wouldn't say no to The Last Polka's Horlicks or Baskin Robbin's Lunar Cheese).

SWIMWEAR.

There. I admit that I have wanted to wear a bikini. Sadly, the opportunity hasn't turned up. I hate getting sun burned, but for once in my life when I'm young, I hope there's still a chance when I get to wear a bikini.

No, I won't wear it in front of guys.

Now another thing that I'm looking forward to is the Urbanscapes coming soon this summer! The Last Polka, here I come! So, this is how much I love summer. And how much am I going to miss it when I go to UK for a year. In a few days, I bet I'm going to come back to the blogosphere and rant about how ugly the heat has become in the Klang Valley.

Guys. Don't just blast your air-cond on on this hot day. Someone should start designing houses where the garden is going to be on the roof where it helps to cool down your house.

I'm dead serious. This trend is happening in condos or Australia! (that last bit, my dad said that. It's uncertain whether is this true.)

Excuse me while I wait for my ice cream come this Wednesday. S, aren't you excited?
