Praising Born and Raised

Tweeting is not enough to describe how much I love John Mayer's new album, Born and Raised, which was released last May.

I quote a person from YouTube, saying that "This is the soundtrack of my decade!"

Maybe for me, it's the soundtrack of my life. When I first heard Shadow Days (I accidentally called it Dark Shadows O.O), I could've sworn I experienced what people call it eargasm. Ha ha.

If I were an ice cream, just hearing John Mayer's voice singing the words of The Age of Worry and Walt Grace's Submarine Test would've made me melt. The tracks are like songs I could listen to when I'm driving in a coupe along a one-lane road cruising along the beautiful countryside of Austria.

Or when I wake up, head up to the balcony and take in the sight of the green scenery of New Zealand (referring to the beautiful mountains in Lord of the Rings), sipping my cup of coffee and sitting down on a nice chair and just enjoy the view.

This video is one of my favorite tracks, The Age of Worry.

"Act your age in the age of worry,
And say worry, get out of here!"

John Mayer, thank you for the music that you've made. Your lyrics especially in Shadow Days really touched me (I'm serious!) and every time I sing it, I sing with so much emotion.

I love your approach to this kind of folk country music and it suits your voice. When you come to Malaysia, don't perform in stadiums, but do it the convention center or in a club. I don't want to be standing among 2000 fans to hear you. I want to sit down with no girls screaming out "JOHN MAYER, I  LOVE YOU!" while you sing your beautiful songs.

I want the room to be silent and hear no one but your voice and backup vocals and music. I want to really connect with you through the music that you play while you serenade us with your sexy voice.
