For the past two weeks, it's always been about Cardcaptor Sakura and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles. I've gone all the way till reading the manga of Tsubasa just to see the ending. My favorite part of the manga would be when Sakura meets Syaoran for the first time.
I remember back in primary school, I'd go in a fangirl mode because of Syaoran. I used to watch Cardcaptor Sakura on ntv7 in the morning. I'd always hear the opening of "Dreaming! Dreaming!" until I could remember the whole lyrics in Japanese. [mimics Meilin's "Ho! Ho! Ho!"]
And I remember how freaking adorable Syaoran is when he had a crush on Yukito [ha ha ha ha, I still laugh thinking about it!!] and when he gets jealous when Sakura gets Yukito's attention.
Aww, those were the days. Oh. And when Syaoran blushes when Sakura smiles at him, it just makes my heart melt watching him trying to understand his feelings. One of my favorite episode was when they were stuck in the elevator and he shouts her name "SAKURA!!!" for the first time (he usually addresses his friends by their surname.)
Yeah. Makes me wish I have a guy like Syaoran. I know I sounds utterly ridiculous, having crushes on fictional characters or actors/musicians. But I can't help it! Besides, when I was in primary school, I didn't really have a crush on anyone in school (because my thoughts were either around Syaoran, Daniel Radcliffe or Jeremy Sumpter).
Watching the Cardcaptor series brings back many happy thoughts. When I was younger, I didn't know the term 'cosplay' but I've loved Sakura's battle costumes and her everyday outfits, I had wished that I could wear clothes like that. And I've always wanted to have a staff like hers. I remember that I even made a Clow Card (Arrow) and had it as a bookmark.
Unfortunately, I've lost it, but I could do it again :)
It was my first time that I finally watched the whole Tsubasa series, including the movie (what am I talking about, it's not qualified to be a movie because it's freaking 35 MINUTES! A movie is when it's duration is for 40 minutes and more!! It could've been BETTER!!!!!! WHY, CLAMP, WHY!?!?) and OVAs. So when I reached the final episode of Tsubasa, I was dying to know the ending of the whole series. So it comes down reading...
MANGA.
I've never really read manga. I've only seen pages of it online and I was not adjusted to reading the whole comic. For a fantasy genre like Tsubasa, you can expect all those swirly magical spells being cast about and it's all in static mode compared to the anime series. It was a pain reading the manga of Tsubasa, but I kept on going! I'm so grateful to mangafox for having the whole series. But I only read from the part where the series ended.
And it was freaking confusing. I was kinda mindfcuked over the whole switching places and events occurring in a loop. Not to mention how the hell I could differentiate Sakura and Syaoran clones with the originals. But no matter. It's all over, and I've finished reading the manga for the first time.
I wanted it to be the last, too, until one of my friends, R begged me not to stop. But because I got a headache after reading the manga (spent 5 hours reading the towards the end), I had to take a break from reading manga for the moment.
That made me seriously unproductive the whole day yesterday.
So I've also already watched both Cardcaptor Sakura movies (Gawd, I love the second movie when Sakura confesses her love for Syaoran and when she jumped over a big hole to be in Syaoran's arms...
The poster is just so lovely it makes me want to get the DVD just to get the bonus art of this scene when she falls into his arms...
Hmm. That's not such a bad idea after all. [saves up money, or begs parent to buy. LOL]
And and and and and, this is SYAORAN IN TSUBASA: RESERVOIR CHRONICLES!!!

From watching this entire Sakura-Syaoran series, it makes me think about this whole 'true love' thing. I don't know how many people still believe in true love, but I'd like to think that there's one for me out there. For all we know, he could be dressed in sleeveless turtleneck with a long dessert cape, with goggles dangling around his neck.
Oh no, wait. That's Syaoran. My bad.
So to the girls out there, keep your eyes open! There's someone for you out there. Or probably just close by, I'm not sure. Ha ha.
Pictures do not belong to me.
