Another Weekend in Taiping

Two days before the weekend arrived, I was told that we're going to Taiping, because it might be the last time I see my grandparents before I leave for UK.

Gosh, it's almost one more month.

Anyway, something alive has been brought into Grandpa's house: puppies!

And it's not one, not two, but SIX. Six new four-legged friends!

Patch
Coffee. I wanted to call him 'Teh' at first.
My sister and I were given a chance to name the puppies. When we arrived, we decided to give these two a bath. Boy, it was no easy task. They kept yapping and yapping over the cold water they were washed with. And after we bathed them, they started shivering like nobody's business! Shivering away like I would be shivering on a cold night in Bandung.

We couldn't get a towel but we were so desperate: it was a pitiful sight to see them cold and shiver and one small gust of wind! My sister went in and 'stole' one of Grandpa's tea towel (or was it face towel) to wipe them nicely.

Before we thought of the towel, we tried wrapping them up with tissue (almost like a mummy) but obviously, it failed. So, against our will, we had no choice but to keep them warm by cuddling the wet puppies. Our shirts were wet and covered with their fine hair. We were in such a mess.

Don't you think Patch reminds you of Oliver? Ha ha, we wanted to call him Oliver 2.0.
