Has anyone gone out to watch The Dark Knight Rises already?
I was really excited to catch the movie with my friend earlier this week. K and I went out to Paradigm Mall to watch there for our first time. I can't believe that it's her third already.
THIRD.
And might I say, the movie was amazing. It was a great ending to a trilogy. I have yet to elaborate what issues are brought up in this film, but I do understand the theme of this film. I was so moved with the sacrifices the Batman makes, even though the society believed that he was a murderer. I agree with Catwoman when she said, "You don't owe these people anymore; you've given them everything".
But we all know how selfless Batman was. And when he mentioned that there are many definitions of being a hero to someone, I just teared up at that moment.
I couldn't believed that I cried watching the movie. For me, there are moments when the words just move you and you tear up because what those words meant.
To be honest, it was a bit tough to take in what is going on, like what happened at the stock exchange. But I managed to understand as the plot thickens.
I didn't even realize how time flew by! With the movie almost 2 and a half hours, I was so engrossed by the dialogues and the pace, before I knew it, the ending came so soon.
And what do you know? After that movie, I watched it again with my dad.
IN IMAX! 8D
I realized that K and I arrived at the theatre after the Les Miserables teaser was out. So when Dad and I were early that day, suddenly I heard Anne Hathaway's opening to I Dreamed A Dream.
Before I knew it, I was already crying hearing the song and watching the beautiful shots of the tragic war, Cosette and especially Fantine.
I bet the person next to me was wondering, "My god, she's crying at a teaser..." while I sat there sniffing with a crumpled tissue.
So I already cried before the movie actually started.
And then, my dad had to start taking down the bad sides of TDKR.
a. There should've been more new gadgets!
b. Batman shouldn't have relied so much on muscle but more on his brain. (OK, I have to agree with Dad here a bit. Because even in Justice League, Batman's been known for his observations, gadgets and his quick-thinking skills, while others rely on their muscles)
What a killjoy he can sometimes be... sigh.
I am so grateful we can see Cillian Murphy aka Crane one last time 8D That makes him the only villain that appears in all three films! Aah, Cillian Murphy.
Oh, the IMAX was an amazing experience. It's like being pulled into the scene. And it's such in high definition I almost forgot that this is one heck of a huge screen!
