In less than a day, I'm already in Season 2 of Gargoyles. I found out from my digging that this show was aired in Disney in 1994. Which meant that I was three years old at that time.
And so I deduced that local cable Astro might've been slightly delayed at airing the show here.
I can't believe that I actually remembered this particular scene where Brooklyn's motorcycle was destroyed. I remembered Elisa falling off the castle and Goliath came to her rescue (in episode one!).
It's funny because I didn't grow up having a cable in my own house, but I didn't expect to remember much memories of watching Disney Channel! I must've made frequent visits to my aunt's place (she's the one person we'd love to see because of the opportunity to watch Disney Channel) when I was young.
I would show a picture of the series, but there are just too many fan arts showing up at the first ten pages when Googled. As much as I love the series, the fan arts are just. (Shudders). Exaggerating on Elisa's curves, the romance between her and Goliath, the gargoyle version on Pocahontas and other random gargoyle. It's just... ugh.
Like all Gargoyles fan, it would've been amazing to make this series into a movie. It would've been so cool if the movie'd be as successful as Transformers or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (21st century one). But a little part of me would be worried if a new director in town takes the show and ruins it in the silver screen.
Nah, someone should just reboot it like how they did with Thundercats and X-Men.
So last night, I've watched the whole season 1 (He he he) until 1am. I'd intended to watch it until 2 but my body was telling that it's time to hit the sheets.
It's amazing that my dad actually let me watch this show at such a tender age. Maybe I was three, maybe I was five, but I'm so glad to have remembered it as part of my younger days.
And I think I might've fancied Brooklyn. Which was weird, because... who'd have a crush on a television character at that age?!
To the person who uploaded the whole series on YouTube, I thank you.
Oh, wait I found a decent picture. It's not much, but it shows how the characters look like. I know they may seem intimidating. I'm pretty impressed with my younger self who can handle the appearance of the gargoyles and dark tone of the series. Seeing as that I've grown up watching The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast.

PS: Totally Spies: Season 6 coming up! TS fans around the world have rejoiced earlier than me because I found out late.
