In Five Minutes.

I went to church today, but it wasn't the regular church that I go to.

When the service was over, we were about to approach some youngsters when this guy came up to me and said, "Hi".

I almost went speechless.

Speechless that a guy actually said "hi" to me!

I was staring blankly at a group of adults at the background, not realizing that he was standing in front of me in the foreground. He made eye contact with me and said, "hi".

I almost couldn't reply, but I responded in time by smiling and saying "hi" back.

It was really sweet of him to talk to me. Usually, I don't see myself as the first-option type to come up to and say 'hi' to. And I swear I'll never forget his name. So you can imagine the shock I had when someone in a new environment said 'hi' to me and actually made friends with me.

Unfortunately, we didn't exchange contacts. Too caught up with the purpose of conducting a research, by the time we were done, I was disappointed because he wasn't in sight anymore. Feeling guilty, I thought to myself,

Well, it was nice to meet you, Joe.

PS: title refers to the period we exchanged conversation.
