Yesterday the three of us went to St Albans and spent almost a day there. I have been going crazy with the project and the essay that I'm working on and I felt like I needed a break. My housemate needed a break by going to London! How I wish I could've gone to London. But no matter. I've already spent enough pounds on lunch, winter jacket and the public transport.
When I saw this decent winter coat, I was contemplating to myself whether should I get it or not. I was not with any girl company, so I had to ask for an opinion from my guy friends. It was kind of weird to ask for their thoughts on whether I should get it or not. Because whenever I go out with my family I always hang out with my dad, and I usually asks for his opinion.
I guess being with my dad had also affected with the decision of what to wear. I sometimes dress like him: khaki pants or jeans, tee shirt and a backpack (to carry my jacket). It seems that it has been stuck with me when I'm here.
You know what they say about our style reflects our personality? Sometimes it applies on me. I sometimes wear tomboy clothes, but I don't really behave like one. Do you think it's because what you wear is influenced by the people you've been hanging out with?
Do you know how nice guy clothings are here? They're amazing. It's sometimes tricky to find the smallest size of a particular outfit, and I found myself yesterday wandering around the guy section of clothes longer than I wander through the ladies clothing in River Island.
And why the heck are there no smaller sizes for guys' shoes?! T.T
I'll just continue to share my day, since I hardly talk about my routine now, these days.
As usual, the guys woke up late and I wait for them to prep up while checking the times the bus arrives to St Albans. We were there around lunch time and it was really nice to walk around Market Place and French Row, just to look at nice warm-looking interior.
It was one of those days when I felt like spending an hour indoors and just enjoy the warm environment. But the sun was shining out despite some sun-block moments, so we just wandered all the way to The Waffle House through the Verulamium Park. For the first time, I saw the still lake frozen. I couldn't tell how fully frozen it was but some birds already dared to land on the lake and just stuck there for several minutes.
In the evening, I finally treated myself to a nice warm cappucino at Merchant Tea and Coffee Company. I didn't want to go back so soon so I told them to go back first without me (they had to help out my friend to cook dinner).
At first I was a little upset that there was a timer for me to go back. But then I ignored it because I hadn't thought of letting them go first while I stayed there a little longer.
Gosh I miss walking around London. I can't wait to go back there on the 13th December.
And. It's 0°C outside my room (and it'll continue to drop). I dare not leave my room for the whole day, but I want to go to this carolling event in a shopping mall near my place. Which means I still have to go... out.
