Manila Trip Story #1

We were in Starbucks after Total Recall (perhaps I'll talk about this show some other time). The mall was at its closing time so we headed out to a kiosk Starbucks at Metro Walk to wait for our parents to come pick us up. It was also the time for us to bond after not seeing each other for more than a year.

At the counter, I asked my cousin to choose what to order and that I'll talk to the cashier.

So after I said the order, it is usually custom for the cashier to ask for the customer's name. When the cashier asked "May I know your name, please?" I kept a straight face, trying not to burst out laughing and said this word:

"Sakura."

My cousin didn't do a good job trying to hide her grin, but at least she did not laugh or give a look. She was smiling widely, though, keeping it cool and playing along.

Doing my best not to grin, I saw him jot the name down on the coffee cup. He looked so serious in doing his work, I couldn't dare to laugh, fooling around with my name.

Like nothing seemed funny, he said, "Okay." He handed me our Mango Cake on a tray with a "here's your mango cake, Sakura. Enjoy it!", I greeted him thanks, walked out from the line and giggled when we took a table at the cafe.

So here's me with my hilarious moment shot with the lovely name.

That was one of the craziest things I have ever done in my life. I should do this more often! But then again, how often can I go to Starbucks and do something funny like this? Sigh.
