It's one of those late-night blog posts.
From today onwards, I'm patiently waiting to get my Veeza approved. During the hour of waiting, I had to tolerate with a wailing 5-year-old; in my head, I was going crazy. The high pitch sound of his crying made me scream "Please stop! Stop that child from wailing please! It's driving me crazy!" in my head.
Just fingers crossed that I'd get this over with.
Last Wednesday, I finally watched a movie in a cinema. The last time I watched before then was Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted. The villain was not their best, but still, overall, it was entertaining.
Minus the part when Marty did the annoying Afro Circus song. Some of the audience found it amusing, but not me. I was having that "Good grief, I'd rather hear the I Like to Move it, Move it! song" moment.
It was by far the best Madagascar film. So I've looked up The Art of Madagascar 3 online and I booked a copy. So I can't wait to get my hands on that book.
Oh well, fast forward a few weeks and a friend of mine asked me to watch Abraham Lincoln: The Vampire Hunter. I looked up the film online after I watched it, wondering why did it receive negative reviews. Perhaps some people can't take the idea of a President hunting down vampires, but it sure as heck is entertaining, especially the fighting scenes.
I love the presence of Benjamin Walker as Lincoln. He makes the character really believable, and made me really believed that it's possible that a President can hunt vampires, axe-killing style.
He wields the axe more awesome than Chris Hemsworth the Huntsman, in fact.
Another summer movie that I've watched was Snow White and the Huntsman. It is difficult to live among people who dislike Kristen Stewart. Some say she can't act and is emotionless, some just don't like her portrayal of Bella.
But don't judge her from playing Bella. Perhaps I should recommend you to watch one of my favorite films of hers, Speak. Or Welcome to the Rileys. I hope you come to appreciate her as much as I do.
Ooh, and I like her style. I like how she stands out from the others; her attitude, her idea of wearing sneakers on the red carpet. Honestly if it weren't for her, I wouldn't be crazy of shoes (mainly sneakers) and jeans... 8D
Oops, Kristen overload. Ha ha.
Back to the movie. I enjoyed the movie and I just find Charlize Theron's presence hair-raising. In a good way. Every time I see her on-screen, I just feel awed at her presence. She should be cast more frequent as a villain. She'd be bad-ass.
I can't help but compare the battle scenes with LOTR. Perhaps, they've always emphasized the movie to be an epic fantasy film, that's why, but it doesn't have that kick like the war in Two Towers has.
And the tree! [Perhaps those who are fans of LOTR would notice the tree symbol on Snow White's armor and would understand why I exclaimed this]
So basically my summer's been dominated by movies, Chuck and Gargoyles. Occasionally, I meet up with friends but I'm glad my friend Q, asked me to do a poster for an upcoming carnival.
[Gasps] My dreams.
I've been haunted by this person, who has been giving me restless nights. I'd find myself waking up early in the morning around 4am, wondering for a split second if it really happened. And when I realized that it didn't, I felt relieved and at the same time terrified at the thought that this person appears in my dreams.
Because when I see this person, I expect bad news. And that bad news would terrify me because it would be a matter of life and death.
So I pray that I would rid this person from haunting me and give me some good decent sleep.
Because it has been a bloody week.
Sigh, what a week. I wish to blog more but I would have to end here for now. Perhaps I would share my lomography stories in the next post.
